You’ve been naughty…
It’s the New Year’s yet again, and like always, time flew past like a bullet. Hands up for those who have successfully stuck to their 2018 resolutions?
…
We haven’t either—haven’t added more zeros behind our bank accounts; but have definitely gained more inches around the waist. In fact, so caught up in the gifting feels, we have overspent left right and centre on Christmas gifts, festive meals and that much-needed trip abroad.
The economy hasn’t been nice
Not to be a harbinger of bad news or an advocate of austerity but it looks as though the economy is slowing down, what’s with the underemployment in Singapore, a burgeoning 2019 budget to safeguard social security as well as Skillfuture calls for us to upgrade ourselves.
All of which comes amidst trade tensions, lengthening longevity, rising living standards and a consistent pushback of CPF withdrawal. So, in spite of the overly optimistic inflation figures (0.7%) and growth percentages, we may be heading towards to direction of a retracting economy.
Tightening your belts
If we’re being prudent with our budget, hawker food is the obvious choice. It’s pure comfort food that even Crazy Rich Asians love, but the best part is that you can have a different meal everyday of the week and not exhaust your options within the CBD.
Despite our obsession with local fare, we do have a love-hate relationship with hawker centres.
With the stifling heat, noon-time drowsiness and requisite jostling for seats that quickly get snapped up by tissue packets, the last thing we need is being at the end of a snaking queue.

Dear Rosalind, you may do both, however, linking your credit/ debit card to the app is the quickest most convenient way, plus no surcharge. If you top up stored value, there’s surcharge 🙂
How do I write a review for food I’ve ordered & ate?
